For all you raw feeders, here is a good site to give you some idea of all the different meats you can give your dogs.

Is there anything you should be wary of for fear of choking - i give mine wings cos they seem to crunch them nicely and it suits all three ( gsd, staff an cav ) - but i had a scare with the staff and a bit of thigh - even though he managed to gag it up easily enough it made me nervous - is there anything i should really steer clear of?

Only pork as it can give them the runs, big time.

Don't tell my lot that, as they love it.

As with everything, you have to give it to them in the correct amount, and make sure that they have to bite into it, and not just swallow it whole.

What you will find when looking on the net, is that you will get one opinion from the raw meaty bone people and another from those that feed BARF.

thes best testament is how well the dogs look and your crew all look well - the article was interesting you sent - espeically the bit about the kibble - i basically mix my raw meat ( normall the prize choice blocks, natures menu stuff or chicken wings ) with JWB - but wondered if the meat and kibble was sensible as they obviously woof down the meat and often lick around the kibble left - going back to it later - the thought that it could fester bacteria ( and not the meat ) is a worry

The biggest problem with mixing food stuffs is not what goes into their mouths, but the time it takes for them to digest it.
